What is customary: Not expected — welcome, but nobody is counting
Worked example
On a RWF50,000 bill, 10% is RWF5,000, so you would hand over RWF55,000.
Tour guides
On a “free” walking tour, the tip is the fare: about RWF10,000 per person.
On a paid tour, 10% of the price on top.
Expected. Gorilla trackers and porters are tipped separately, and porters are hired partly to be tipped.
