Worked example
On a ฿1,000.00 bill, 5% is ฿50.00, so you would hand over ฿1,050.00.
Tour guides
On a “free” walking tour, the tip is the fare: about ฿300.00 per person.
On a paid tour, 10% of the price on top.
Appreciated rather than expected. On a day trip the driver is tipped separately and less.
