Terms
Last updated 31 August 2026
Convert Once is a one-time purchase. It converts units and tells you what tipping is customary. Treat both as a well-made guide, not as a financial instrument — the rates are indicative and the customs are general.
The agreement
These terms are between you and Zobot, the maker of Convert Once. Downloading or using the app means you accept them. The app is sold through Apple's App Store, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where these terms are silent, Apple's stand.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Convert Once on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not resell it, rent it, or attempt to extract its source.
Price
Convert Once costs $9.99 once. It is not a subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing further to buy inside it. There is a free trial covering your first five days of actual use — days on which you open the app and use it, not days on a calendar.
Apple takes the payment and handles refunds. If you want a refund, request it through Apple; we cannot issue one, though we would like to hear why.
What the conversions are, and are not
Exchange rates are indicative. They come from a free public feed, they may be minutes or days old, and the rate you are actually given by a bank, a card, a bureau or a shop will differ. The app always shows how old a rate is and where it came from, precisely so you can judge it. Do not use Convert Once as the basis of a financial, commercial or legal decision.
Unit conversions are arithmetic and are as accurate as the figure you type, but the app deliberately hides readings it judges implausible for the number entered. That is a convenience, not a guarantee of correctness.
Tipping notes are travel guidance. Customs vary by region, by venue and over time, and no short note can be right everywhere. Use your judgement and your eyes.
Times, weather and shoe sizing are conveniences and can be wrong. Do not catch a flight on the strength of this app's clock.
No warranty
Convert Once is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure it shows is accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zobot is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of Convert Once — including money lost on a transaction, a mistaken payment, a missed appointment, or an offence given by a tip. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. You may have consumer rights that these terms do not affect.
Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with it, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the terms of the rate service it reads.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
