Worked example
On a MMK100,000 bill, 5% is MMK5,000, so you would hand over MMK105,000.
Tour guides
On a “free” walking tour, the tip is the fare: about MMK10,000 per person.
On a paid tour, 10% of the price on top.
Expected on guided tours. Keep small notes — change is hard to come by.
