Worked example
On a MVR1,000.00 bill, 10% is MVR100.00, so you would hand over MVR1,100.00.
Tour guides
On a “free” walking tour, the tip is the fare: about MVR200.00 per person.
On a paid tour, 10% of the price on top.
Resorts pool tips for the staff. Your room attendant and dive guide are the ones tipped directly.
