What is customary: A share of the bill, at any size
Worked example
On a CO$100,000 bill, 10% is CO$10,000, so you would hand over CO$110,000.
Tour guides
On a “free” walking tour, the tip is the fare: about CO$40,000 per person.
On a paid tour, 10% of the price on top.
Free walking tours run on tips. Guides in Medellín and Bogotá rely on them.
