Worked example
On a UGX100,000 bill, 10% is UGX10,000, so you would hand over UGX110,000.
Tour guides
On a “free” walking tour, the tip is the fare: about UGX20,000 per person.
On a paid tour, 10% of the price on top.
Expected. Gorilla-trekking porters and rangers are tipped separately from the guide, and both are customary.
